Creative Environment Corp. (CEC) is a full-service mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection engineering, and technology design consulting firm. Founded in 1975 by David Doyle and acquired by Thielsch Engineering, Inc. in 2012, CEC in conjunction with other Thielsch divisions provides a vast, full range of engineering, construction, energy, and laboratory services. CEC's reach is beyond our traditional New England roots, and now our service-oriented brand is enjoyed by a national and international client base.

Mr. Costa is our Electrical Department Head and has over 20 years of electrical consulting experience in a wide range of projects such as new construction, high-rise and historical renovations, schools and universities, hospitals, federal buildings, entertainment, sports, hospitality, laboratory design, data centers, tenant fit-outs, residential, retail, industrial, transportation including waterfront\docking facilities, building and ground mounted photo voltaic design. He also worked on regional and international medium voltage projects ranging from educational to international.

Mr. Weiss is our Mechanical Department Head and has more than 20 years experience with system design and project management experience. Completed design projects have included new construction and existing building retro-fit construction in various building usage types, ranging from office space to large conference usage to mission critical data centers and high-rise mixed-use facilities. He has also worked in high profile environments from casino/nightclubs and sports complexes to hospital and lab facilities. Strengths include an MBA-driven business background aiding in budgeting and capital planning as well multi-trade coordination and forensic systems/controls analysis.

Mr. Zaino is our Business/Electrical Manager and brings with him a third generation of knowledge and experience to the engineering industry. His over 15 years’ of electrical design experience provide him all the tools needed to meet the challenges of an ever-changing clientele and industry. Included in these projects have been educational facilities, hospitals, office buildings, sports complexes, hotels, casinos, and restaurants.

Mr. Israelit is our HVAC Design/Build Department Head. He specializes in the design and installation of all types of HVAC and mechanical refrigeration systems. He has over 15 years of design and installation experience which includes: commercial interior HVAC design and construction up to 400,000 sf, healthcare facilities up to 100,000 sf, commissioning new heat recovery systems in laboratory applications, studied building energy systems, and identified and implemented alternative energy efficient solutions.

Ms. Reddy is our HVAC Manager. She specializes in the design and trouble-shooting of all types of HVAC systems, with particular consideration of the Facility end-user. She has over 25 years of experience in all aspects of engineering and construction from initial design concept through construction administration and commissioning.

Mr. Evans is our Fire Protection Manager. He has over 30 years of experience designing fire protection systems for medical, institutional, government and retail projects. Mr. Evans takes pride in his work and takes a hands-on approach to all aspects of his engineering; this includes scheduling, drafting, design, and conducting flow tests.

Mr. Gray is our Senior Mechanical Engineer/Project Manager. He leads the HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection designs on many projects in the office. He also provides quality assurance and quality control reviews, stamping, supervision, and mentoring of junior mechanical and plumbing department staff. Additionally, he manages the MEP design team’s design effort as a project manager for many projects, leading the coordination effort, managing project schedules, and fulfilling client needs.

Mr. Peterson is our Senior Project Manager with mechanical engineering experience. Projects have included new construction and existing building retro-fit projects in various building usage types-ranging from high-rise residential to educational. He is responsible for the design of projects from conception, including preparation and coordination of working drawings and specifications, through the completion of construction. Michael engages in the development of mechanical systems concepts, and provides guidance of project engineering and design. He has extensive knowledge of sustainable building design and encourages implementation where appropriate.

Mr. Duquette serves as our Lead Telecommunication and Security Engineer at Creative Environment Corp. His telecommunications and security installation background, along with architectural and building system design education is a unique blend which makes him a versatile member of the CEC team. Trained in the use of BIM applications and methodologies enhances his ability to “see” projects through the design process. Mr. Duquette’s unique blend of telecommunications installation background, including extensive field work at Brown University and architectural training make him a versatile member of the CEC Electrical team adept at handling multi-disciplinary design and administration efforts.
